Cerne Abbas Surgery

The Cerne Abbas Surgery is a purpose built surgery that accommodates a full Primary Health Care Team as well as a wide range of medical and associated services. The surgery website will keep you up to date with what the Surgery can offer.

There is also an established dispensary service at the Surgery. Prescriptions and appointments can all be ordered on the surgery website.

Hospitals

The main NHS Hospital in the immediate area is the Dorset County Hospital in Dorchester. It includes an Accident and Emergency Unit.

There is also an NHS Minor Injuries Unit at the Yeatman Community Hospital
 in Sherborne.


 There are also private health services available in the area and these can be found under Cerne Valley Businesses.

Public Health Dorset have launched a campaign to make sure young people in Dorset always know where they can go to get support.

Defibrillators

There are two Defibrillators situated in Cerne Abbas.

One is fitted inside the south porch of St Mary’s Church in Cerne Abbas and is available at any time.

The other is in the Cerne Abbas Village Hall and is only available when the Hall is in use. Both include instructions and are simple to operate.
