Adrian Clements and Andy Ross are
holding a day of ’50s Rock ’n Roll. At around 12 noon, Hot Rod cars will drive
into the village, so there will be a chance to look at these beautiful vehicles. At
12.30 pm, Rock ’n Roll girls and boys will be arriving, some dressed in ’50s outfits:
drape coats and girls in hoop skirts. At around 1pm, there will be music and
dancing outside the Royal Oak. Don’t be afraid to join in. You will be welcome!
Live band, the Wild Cats 56 will be in the Giant Inn at 4pm (a great local band
and free entry). At 7pm, in the Village Hall, one of the biggest Rockabilly bands,
Restless, will be playing. They have never played in the South West of England –
people can’t believe we have this band playing in little old Cerne Abbas. Tickets
for the Village Hall are £20 each, but for that you are getting two bands, hot rod
cars, fun and dancing. So join us for a Saturday of Rock ’n Roll music, Buddy Holly,
Elvis, etc. For more information and tickets, call Andy Ross on 07870 586340.
