Godmanstone Metal Detecting Talk

We will
be hosting an interesting talk by metal detectorist and YouTube video creator
Keith Brown along with his detecting partner Gillian Greening. They will be
giving a presentation on their metal detecting finds in the fields of Dorset. The
presentation will show you numerous coins and artefacts of gold, silver and
bronze that they have discovered, detecting in the fi elds of Dorset. Their fi nds
range from the Iron Age, Roman, Anglo Saxon, Medieval and Post Medieval
periods. Keith and Gillian will also bring display cases along with them showing
you a range of their finds and you’ll have the opportunity to see and actually hold
these precious and interesting items – something that museums would never
allow you to do. Tickets are 5 in advance. Please email as above or message on
the Facebook Godmanstone Village Hall page and I will send you our bank details.
Nibbles, beer, wine and soft drinks including tea and coff ee will be available to
purchase on the night.
