Community Support

There is a strong spirit of community in the Cerne Valley. If you have some spare time on your hands, whether on a regular basis or as a one-off, there will surely be a project or support group in the Valley that would appreciate your help.

Examples of projects and groups – more volunteers welcomed

Car drivers for doctor and hospital appointments. New drivers always welcome.
Festival event organisers – Music, Giant, Christmas etc.
The Squibblers – the church gardeners meet first Thursday each month from 10 am till noon. See current dates HERE
Cerne Abbas village school computer class helpers. Wednesdays at 1.30 pm.Currently suspended due to Covid precautions.
Digital champions help people with the internet and gain basic online skills
There are many local clubs and societies who welcome new members
