DESCRIPTION:The fi nal meeting of the Cerne Historical Society before its summer break will be\nheld on Thursday 25th June and will feature a talk by Bernard Paull in which he\nwill highlight some of the delights of Dorset’s many bridges. Bernard is the author\nof Dorset Bridges Spanning the Ages and promises us a journey along the rivers\,\nhighways and byways of Dorset looking at old bridges and a few newer ones. Some\nof what he will cover will be historic\, some engineering\, and some based on his own\nexperiences. An interesting evening will be in prospect.\nAdmission to the meeting is free for paid-up members and £5 for visitors. Wine and\nsoft drinks will be available at a modest charge from 7pm onwards. If you haven’t\npaid your 2026 subscription for 2026 or haven’t yet joined the society\, you will be able to do so on the night.
