“No Excuse” Safety Cameras In Operation

The “No Excuse” Safety crew will be in Dorchester and Sherborne and other areas (including Cerne Abbas) over the following dates:

Saturday 26th November

Tuesday 29th November

Firday 2nd December

Tackling the big five of dangerous driving: drink and drug driving, excessive and inappropriate speed, not wearing a seatbelt, driver distractions such as hand-held mobile phone and careless driving.

Police Appeal For Witnesses Following Fatality

A 44-year old, male motorist, who was driving a Peugeot died in the early hours of Friday morning after hitting a tree and entering a field on the A37, two miles north of Dorchester.

Police are appealing for witnesses., via email or by calling 101, quoting incident number 18:29.

Tractor stolen and car smashed by thieves in middle of the night in Leigh

A TRACTOR was stolen in the early hours of Friday morning after thieves snapped padlocks to gain access to a property in Leigh, north of Cerne Abbas.


Anyone with information is being asked to contact the police on 101, quoting incident number 21:0014.
